François Valentin
François Charles Joseph Valentin (; 8 August 1909 - 24 September 1961) was a French politician and military general. During World War II, he led the French Legion of Combatants from 1941 to 1942 before joining the Resistance. He was deputy of the French Third Republic, Third Republic, senator of the French Fourth Republic, Fourth Republic and deputy of the French Fifth Republic, fifth Republic. Early life and education Valetin was born as a son of an attorney at the Court of Appeal of Nancy, France, Nancy and a mother from the Vosges.
