François Calmels
François Calmels (born 11 December 1981) is a French professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Career Calmels was born in Paris. He was a distinguished amateur, winning the 2004 Coupe Mouchy (highest amateur competition in France), and the 2006 Portuguese Amateur Open Championship. He turned professional in 2006 and won twice during his first season on the Alps Tour, one of Europe's third tier developmental professional golf tours. He won for the first time on the second-tier European Challenge Tour in May 2009, when he claimed the Telenet Trophy by one stroke over Spaniard Carlos Rodiles - one week after watching his girlfriend, Jade Schaeffer make her Ladies European Tour breakthrough at the Hypo Vereinsbank Ladies German Open, he followed her into the winner's enclosure by birdieing the last two holes at Royal Waterloo Golf Club to win by one stroke. 2013 Challenge Tour
The 2013 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. 2005 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2005 European Amateur Team Championship took place 28 June – 2 July at Hillside Golf Club in Southport, England. It was the 24th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The club was founded in 1911. The course, located in Southport, 20 kilometres north of the city center of Liverpool, England, is a links course, with all the holes being between and on mainly large dunes and local indigenous pinewoods, typical of the area. It is physically close to both the Royal Birkdale Golf Club, near its south-western boundaries, and to the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club. European Amateur Team Championship
The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format 1959–1965 Each team consisted of a minimum of six players, playing two rounds of stroke play, counting the four best scores for each team. Gary Stal
Gary Stal (born 9 February 1992) is a French professional golfer. Career Stal was born in Décines, near Lyon. He played on the Challenge Tour in 2012. He won his first title in June 2012 at the Kärnten Golf Open, playing on an invitation. The following month, Stal picked up another victory at the Credit Suisse Challenge, defeating Alexandre Kaleka in a playoff and graduated to the European Tour. He was less successful in 2013, but performed well at the second and final stages of Qualifying School to regain his place on Tour. He then finished 89th on the 2014 Order of Merit, making 21 cuts in 25 tournaments. On 18 January 2015, Stal secured his first victory on a major tour, shooting a −7 in the final round to win the European Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship by one stroke over Rory McIlroy. Hendrik Johannes "Hennie" Otto (born 25 June 1976) is a South African professional golfer. Otto was born in Boksburg. He has played golf on the European Tour since 2000 having graduated from the Challenge Tour, but has only finished within the top 100 on the Order of Merit twice, in 2003 when he finished tied for tenth at The Open Championship on his major championship début and in 2008 when he won the Italian Open and finished 37th on the Order of Merit. Adam Gee (born 22 October 1980) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Gee was born in Carshalton, England. He was a relative latecomer to golf, not attempting the game for the first time until the age of 15. Despite this, he earned a golf scholarship to the University of North Carolina Wilmington, but opted to take a role as a club assistant on his return as he doubted his ability to compete as a professional. Robert Maitland Dinwiddie (born 29 December 1982) is an English professional golfer. Early years Dinwiddie was born in Dumfries, Scotland. He was assisted by College Prospects of America to gain a golf scholarship at Tennessee State University, and was the number one ranked English golfer. Dinwiddie won Welsh and Scottish Amateur Open Stroke Play Championships in 2005, and when he also claimed the English Amateur Open Stroke Play Championship, otherwise known as the Brabazon Trophy, in 2006, he became the first person to hold all three titles at the same time.
