Franz Erwein Von Schönborn-Wiesentheid
Franz Erwein, Count of Schönborn-Wiesentheid (1776–1840) was a German art collector and politician from the House of Schönborn. Life His parents were the Damian Hugo Erwein Franz von Schönborn (1738–1817), a chamberlain and member of the counsel from Aschaffenburg, and his wife Maria Anna (1746–1817), who had been countess of Stadion zu Thannhausen und Warthausen. From 1792 onwards he studied at Jura and the University of Würzburg. In 1802 he married Fernandine, Countess of Westphalia, from Hildesheim (1781-1813). She was the daughter of the imperial envoy Clemens August of Westphalia. That year Franz also took over the entail on the Schönborn-Besitzungen in the Holy Roman Empire. In 1806 the county of Wiesentheid was handed over to the Kingdom of Bavaria as part of German Mediatisation. Leo von Klenze (Franz Karl Leopold von Klenze; 29 February 1784, Buchladen (Bockelah / Bocla) near Schladen – 26 January 1864, Munich) was a German neoclassicist architect, painter and writer. Court architect of Bavarian King Ludwig I, Leo von Klenze was one of the most prominent representatives of Greek revival style. Biography Von Klenze studied architecture and public building finance under Friedrich Gilly in Berlin, and worked as an apprentice to Charles Percier and Pierre François Léonard Fontaine in Paris. Between 1808 and 1813 he was a court architect of Jérôme Bonaparte, King of Westphalia. Later he moved to Bavaria and in 1816 began to work as court architect of Ludwig I. The ''Landstände'' (singular ''Landstand'') or ''Landtage'' (singular ''Landtag'') were the various territorial estates or diets in the Holy Roman Empire in the Middle Ages and the early modern period, as opposed to their respective territorial lords (the ''Landesherrn''). Usage The structure of the ''Landstände'' was highly variable depending on the country and period of history. Anton Eggstein
Anton Eggstein (3 March 1780, Burgau - 13 March 1819, Munich) was a German brewer and politician, most notable as a member of the first-ever Landtag of Bavaria. Life Eggstein lived and worked as a brewer in his home town of Burgau. He was married, with two sons and a daughter. The Bavarian Constitution of 1818 set up an elected popular assembly for the Kingdom of Bavaria, known as the Bayerische Ständeversammlung, based in Munich and consisting of a chamber of Imperial Councillors and a chamber of deputies. Eggstein was elected in the very first elections in December, chosen from the fifth class and representing the Upper Danube area (Oberdonaukreis) in the chamber of deputies. The deputies came to the Landtag's grand opening in Munich on 1 February 1819. Peter von Cornelius (23 September 1783, Düsseldorf – 6 March 1867, Berlin) was a German painter; one of the main representatives of the Nazarene movement. Jakob Götzenberger
Jakob Götzenberger (Franz Jakob Julius Götzenberger, Heidelberg 4 November 1802 – Darmstadt 6 October 1866) was a German mural painter and portraitist, a pupil of Peter Cornelius. He spent much of the later part of his career in England. Biography Götzenberger was born in Heidelberg. He studied art in Düsseldorf, where he became a pupil of Peter Cornelius, a member of the Nazarene Brotherhood which, largely inspired by the artists of the early Italian Renaissance, had promoted the revival of fresco-painting in Germany. Carl Heinrich Hermann (6 January 1802, Dresden - 30 April 1880, Berlin) was a German fresco-painter. Life He studied at the Dresden Academy and the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Peter von Cornelius. With Jakob Götzenberger and Ernst Förster he painted the frescoes in the hall of Bonn University - that of Theology is by Hermann.
