František Pechar
František Pechar is a former figure skater who competed internationally for Czechoslovakia. He placed tenth at the 1974 European Championships and won two silver medals at the Prague Skate. Figure Skater
Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. The Olympic disciplines are men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance; the four individual disciplines are also combined into a team event, first included in the Winter Olympics in 2014. Prague Skate
The Prague Skate (sometimes titled Golden Skate; from 1994: Czech Skate) is an international figure skating competition. It was a senior event from the 1960s to 1997, usually held in November or December in Prague. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and pair skating. Petr Barna
Petr Barna (born 9 March 1966) is a Czech former competitive figure skater who competed for Czechoslovakia. He is the 1992 European champion, the 1992 Olympic bronze medalist, and a seven-time Czechoslovak national champion. Personal life Barna was born 9 March 1966 in Prague. In 1990, he married ice dancer Andrea Juklová, with whom he has a daughter, Sofie Barnová, born in April 1992. Career Barna started skating in Prague at an outdoor rink and received lessons from 1972. He began appearing at senior internationals in the 1982–83 season. He was coached by František Pechar. Barna sprained his right ankle as he was leaving the airport in Birmingham on his way to the 1989 European Championships. Despite the injury, he medaled for the first time at an ISU Championship, winning bronze. 1991–92 was Barna's best competitive season. Lenka Kulovaná
Lenka Kulovaná (born 25 October 1974) is a Czech former competitive figure skater. She is a three-time Prague Skate champion, the 1990 International de Paris silver medalist, and a three-time Czech national champion. Personal life Kulovaná was born on 25 October 1974 in Ústí nad Labem, Czechoslovakia. She has a son, Daniel, with her husband, Emmanuel Petit, a French farrier. Career Kulovaná won gold at the 1990, 1994, and 1995 Prague Skate (Czech Skate). She took silver at the 1990 International de Paris and the 1995 Nebelhorn Trophy. Kulovaná placed fifth at the 1992 European Championships, tenth at the 1993 World Championships, and competed at three Winter Olympics, placing 11th in 1992, 13th in 1994 and 18th in 1998. The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
