Frans Seda
Franciscus Xaverius Seda (4 October 1926 – 31 December 2009), popularly known as Frans Seda, was an Indonesian finance minister in the early days of Suharto's presidency. He also served as a minister during the final days of Indonesia's founding President Sukarno's rule in 1966. He is one of the most well-known figures from the eastern province of Nusa Tenggara Timur. He served as plantation minister from 1964 to 1966, agriculture minister in 1966, finance minister from 1966 to 1968 and transportation minister from 1968 to 1973. Seda was a former chairman of the Indonesian Catholic Party and a senior advisor to the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Party. Suharto
Suharto (; ; 8 June 1921 – 27 January 2008) was an Indonesian army officer and politician, who served as the second and the longest serving president of Indonesia. Widely regarded as a military dictator by international observers, Suharto led Indonesia through a dictatorship for 31 years, from the fall of Sukarno in 1967 until his own resignation in 1998. The legacy of his 31-year rule, and his US$38 billion net worth, is still debated at home and abroad. ''The Jakarta Post'' is a daily English-language newspaper in Indonesia. The paper is owned by PT Niskala Media Tenggara and based in the nation's capital, Jakarta. ''The Jakarta Post'' started as a collaboration between four Indonesian media at the urging of Information Minister Ali Murtopo and politician Jusuf Wanandi.
