Frans Lowyck
François Jean Julien Lowyck (born 1 September 1894 in Bruges - 10 March 1969 in Bruges) was a Belgian football player. His position on the field was forward. Throughout his career, Lowyck only played for one team: Cercle Brugge. He made his debut in the 1912-13 season. That same season, Cercle Brugge lost the cup final. Only one season later, Lowyck would already become top scorer of the team. He would repeat this event in 1921, after the interruption due to World War I. Louis Saeys
Louis Saeys (26 November 1887 – 2 June 1952) was a Belgian football striker. He has played 24 times for the Belgian team and has the 7th most goals for Cercle Brugge. Saeys would probably have been Cercles leading top scorer of all time and player with most appearances if war had not broken out, which stopped the Belgian football competition for 5 seasons. Saeys played for no other team than Cercle throughout his career. He made his début for the first team in the 1903–04 season. Saeys would rapidly become one of the key players for the green and black side, despite his young age. Four years later, he would be called up for the first time to play for his country. In the 1910–11 season, Saeys became national champions with the green and black side. Louis Saeys was part of the team that played the cup final in 1913. Gérard Devos (19 August 1903, Sint-Andries – 5 January 1972, Tielt) was a Belgian football striker. Career Devos started playing football with Cercle Brugge. He made his debut in a 5–1 loss against Standard Liège on 23 October 1921. He played most of his career for the green and black side. He was 7 times the team's top goal scorer, and he also has the 8th most goals in the history of Cercle. Devos won the league title with Cercle in 1927. His last match with Cercle was against Antwerp FC on 3 November 1929. Cercle lost 1–4. Devos ended his career with FC Eeklo, where he would also become manager. Devos appeared 9 times in the colours of Belgium. He was capped for the first time against France on 11 April 1926. Belgium lost 4–3. Devos made one of the three Belgian goals.
