Frankie Lor
Frankie Lor Fu Chuen () is a Hong Kong horse racing trainer and former jockey. Career As jockey Lor began his racing career as a jockey. He won 27 races between 1981 and 1995. He became work rider and later assistant to various trainers, among them John Moore and John Size. As Trainer Frankie Lor got his licence as a trainer in 2017. The end of his first training season (2017–2018) saw him in second place in the trainer's championship. At 17 March 2019, Lor won the Hong Kong Derby with Furore Furore is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Jockey
A jockey is someone who rides horses in horse racing or steeplechase racing, primarily as a profession. The word also applies to camel riders in camel racing. The word "jockey" originated from England and was used to describe the individual who rode horses in racing. They must be light, typically around a weight of 100-120 lb., and physically fit. They are typically self-employed and are paid a small fee from the horse trainer and a percentage of the horse's winnings. Jockeys are mainly male, though there are some well-known female jockeys too. The job has a very high risk of debilitating or life-threatening injuries. Etymology The word is by origin a diminutive of ''jock'', the Northern English or Scots colloquial equivalent of the first name ''John'', which is also used generically for "boy" or "fellow" (compare ''Jack'', ''Dick''), at least since 1529. Hong Kong Derby
The Hong Kong Derby is a Hong Kong Thoroughbred horse race held annually since 1873. Restricted to horses four-years-old only since 1981, the race is run in mid-March and is the premier event on the domestic racing programme with a purse of HK$18 million (app. US$2.3 million). This race is the last race in the Hong Kong Four-Year-Old Classic Series. The first Hong Kong Derby was raced at Happy Valley Racecourse but in 1979 was transferred permanently to its present location at Sha Tin Racecourse. Since 1981, the Derby has been won by several horses who went on to earn Hong Kong Horse of the Year honors including Football, Co-Tack, Yuno When and River Verdon. In 2003, Elegant Fashion became the first filly to win the Derby since 1976. From 2004 to 2012, the race was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. It is sponsored by BMW since 2013. Furore (horse)
Furore is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Furore is located on the Amalfi Coast. Geography The municipality of Furore expands from sea level, where there is the hamlet of Fiordo di Furore, and a little civil parish partly belonging to Praiano named Marina di Praia, up to Agerola (550 meters above sea level). The village is subdivided into 3 districts (''contrade''): Cicala (Sant'Elia), Ciuccio (Santo Jaco) and Gatta (Sant'Agnelo).
