Frank Rosaly
Frank Rosaly (born May 30, 1974) is a Puerto Rican American drummer, composer, and sound designer associated with a transparent compositional approach to drumming across various styles of music including jazz, improvisation, rock and experimental music. Rosaly also composes for film. Biography Frank Rosaly (Francisco Javier Rosaly Amoros) was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1974. His mother Carmen (née Amoros) was a secretary, his father Francisco was an accountant. He has one sister Frances who is a teacher. Frank graduated from Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1992. He subsequently attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he earned a bachelor's degree in percussion performance. Starting out in the Flagstaff and Phoenix, Arizona, music scenes, Rosaly relocated to Los Angeles for a time before returning to NAU from 1999 to 2000. The Chicago Project
''The Chicago Project'' is an album by saxophonist and composer Matana Roberts. Produced by Vijay Iyer and engineered by John McEntire, it was recorded at Soma Studios in Chicago, Illinois, and was released on CD and vinyl in 2008 by Central Control International. Thurston Joseph Moore (born July 25, 1958) is an American musician best known as a member of Sonic Youth. He has also participated in many solo and group collaborations outside Sonic Youth, as well as running the Ecstatic Peace! record label. Billy Higgins (October 11, 1936 – May 3, 2001) was an American jazz drummer. He played mainly free jazz and hard bop. Biography Higgins was born in Los Angeles, California, United States. Higgins played on Ornette Coleman's first records, beginning in 1958. He then freelanced extensively with hard bop and other post- bop players, including Donald Byrd, Dexter Gordon, Grant Green, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Don Cherry, Paul Horn, Milt Jackson, Jackie McLean, Pat Metheny, Hank Mobley, Thelonious Monk, Lee Morgan, David Murray, Art Pepper, Sonny Rollins, Mal Waldron, and Cedar Walton. Big Gigantic are an American instrumental electronic hip hop and jazz musical duo based in Boulder, Colorado.
