Frank Hall (drummer)
Frank Hall (born 29 October 1949) is an English musician and drummer. He was a founder member of the pioneering 1960s-1970s rock band Necromandus, widely hailed as the second Black Sabbath, and by Melody Maker as "Black Sabbath play Yes". After Necromandus, Hall collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne's first solo project after leaving Black Sabbath. Biography Hall was born in Whitehaven in Cumbria. His first project was with local band, Heaven. But in 1968 he formed Necromandus with fellow musicians from Whitehaven and Egremont. Hall had meant to call the band Nostradamus, but they liked Necromandus, and the name stuck. The band was quickly taken up by Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, who produced its first album Orexis of Death in 1973, and invited the band to support Black Sabbath on their UK tour. Whitehaven
Whitehaven is a town and port on the English north west coast and near to the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Historically in Cumberland, it lies by road south-west of Carlisle and to the north of Barrow-in-Furness. It is the administrative seat of the Borough of Copeland, and has a town council for the parish of Whitehaven. The population of the town was 23,986 at the 2011 census. The town's growth was largely due to the exploitation of the extensive coal measures by the Lowther family, driving a growing export of coal through the harbour from the 17th century onwards. It was also a major port for trading with the American colonies, and was, after London, the second busiest port of England by tonnage from 1750 to 1772. This prosperity led to the creation of a Georgian planned town in the 18th century which has left an architectural legacy of over 170 listed buildings. The Verve
The Verve were an English Rock music, rock band formed in Wigan in 1990 by lead vocalist Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bass guitarist Simon Jones (musician), Simon Jones and drummer Peter Salisbury. Guitarist and keyboard player Simon Tong later became a member in their first reunion only. Beginning with a Psychedelic rock, psychedelic sound with their debut LP ''A Storm in Heaven'', by the mid-1990s the band had released several Extended play, EPs and four albums. Peter Salisbury
Peter Anthony Salisbury (born 24 September 1971) is an English rock drummer, best known as the drummer for The Verve, whom he co-founded in 1990. Personal life Salisbury resides in Derbyshire with his wife Pam, sons Ben and Isaac, and step son Joe. The Verve The Verve reunited in June 2007 for a new tour and a future album. Salisbury is believed to have been the one behind getting the ball rolling in terms of reuniting the band. After Ashcroft learned that Salisbury, was in contact with the former guitarist, Nick McCabe, over a possible side project, Ashcroft used this as an excuse to call McCabe. Ashcroft made peace with him and bassist Simon Jones and the band reformed. ''Orexis of Death'' is the debut album by English rock band Necromandus. It was recorded in 1973 under the supervision of Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, but was shelved due to Barry Dunnery's departure from the band and wasn't released until 1999. The album was re-released in 2005 under the name ''Orexis of Death Plus...'' and included two unreleased bonus tracks. It was also reissued in 2010 in its standard form, but with their ''Live'' album included.
