Frank Brady Jr.
Frank Brady (born 1948- died 27 October 2009) was an Irish football player who played as a centre half. He was the brother of Liam Brady. Brady was born in Dublin. After initially playing for Stella Maris , he joined Shamrock Rovers in July 1967 from Home Farm F.C. He made his debut in a friendly against Everton at Dalymount Park on 4 August 1967. He made his competitive debut in Dundalk F.C. on 20 August 1967 in the League of Ireland Shield. Liam Brady
William Brady (born 13 February 1956) is an Irish former footballer. He found success both in England with Arsenal, where he won an FA Cup in 1979, and in Italy with Juventus, winning two Serie A titles. Brady was capped 72 times for the Ireland national team. Brady was a talented attacking midfielder renowned for his left foot and elegant technical skills such as his high-quality passing, vision, and close control, which made him an excellent playmaker. Brady went on to manage Celtic and Brighton and Hove Albion, and was the assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland from 2008 to 2010. He also held the post of Head of Youth Development at Arsenal from 1996 to 2013, and has been a frequent television pundit with RTÉ Sport. Shamrock Rovers Football Club ( ga, Cumann Peile Ruagairí na Seamróige) is an Irish association football club based in Tallaght, South Dublin. Blaxnit Cup
The Blaxnit Cup, is a defunct club football competition which featured teams from both football associations on the island of Ireland, in a similar format to the later Setanta Cup. It was inaugurated in 1967 as a cross-border competition between clubs from the League of Ireland from the Republic of Ireland and the Irish League from Northern Ireland and ran until 1974. The competition was sponsored by Blaxnit, a sock and hosiery manufacturer based in Newtownards. The competition featured four teams from each league. The Blaxnit Cup was the third cross-border competition. Previous competitions included the Dublin and Belfast Intercity Cup 1941/42-1948/49 and the North-South Cup 1961/62-1962/63. The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). Randers Sportsklub Freja (often abbreviated Randers Freja) is a Danish sport club with teams in athletics, handball, table tennis and football. History Randers Freja was founded in 1898, and was accepted into the JBU in 1907. The football department, under the name Randers Freja FC, was established in the late 1990s.
