Remedios de Escalada is a city located in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, within Lanús Partido, Gran Buenos Aires. It covers an area of 9.95 km² and the population was 81,465 in 2001; the demonym for its inhabitants is "escaladense." History The town was first established by Agustín Eguren as ''Edén Argentino'' ("Argentine Eden"), a bedroom community, in 1873. Club Atlético Banfield is an Argentine sports club based in the Banfield district of Greater Buenos Aires. It was founded on 21 January 1896, by the British–origin inhabitants of that city (mostly English, and some Scots and Irish). Founded in 2011, the club is one of the youngest institutions affiliated to the Argentine Football Association. History Agropecuario was founded by Bernardo Grobocopatel, a local entrepreneur related to soybean cultivation, who is also owner and president of the club. The squad participated in now defunct Argentino A where was eliminated by C.A. French in the 2012 season. The next year, Agropecuario finished 6th out of 6 teams in the Argentino B. The club debuted in the Federal B (the regionalised 4th division) in 2014, where it was defeated by Juventud de Pergamino and eliminated from the competition.
