Franco Abbina
Franco Abbina (also credited as Franco Abbine or Franco Abbiana, born March 31, 1934, in Rome) is an Italian actor, active until the first half of the 1970s. Biography Born into a family of Spanish descent, before entering the acting field, Abbina studied economics and music. After finishing his studies, he joined the film industry in the first half of the 1960s as a supporting actor. He acted several times alongside actor-director Alberto Sordi. Among his film roles are Dr. Nisticò, one of the doctors featured in the films '' Be Sick... It's Free'' (1968) and ''Il Prof. Dott. Guido Tersilli, primario della clinica Villa Celeste, convenzionata con le mutue'' (1969). He also played Prince Filippo Spada in '' The Conspirators'' (1969), who undergoes an assassination attempt by the Carbonari Targhini and Montanari. Piero Regnoli
Piero Regnoli (1921–2001) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. Career Born in 1921, Regnoli worked in the film industry between 1953 and 1991 where he wrote over 110 screenplays and directed 11 films. Regnoli's work ranged from sword-and-sandal films, westerns, horror and sexy comedies. His final film where he was officially credited as a director was ''La principessa sul pisello'' in 1976. Regnoli did uncredited direction on the 1986 melodrama ''Giuro che ti amo'' starring Nino D'Angelo. Regnoli was also employed as the film critic for the Vatican's daily newspaper ''L'Osservatore Romano''. Regnoli died in 2001. Ruggero Deodato (born 7 May 1939) is an Italian film director, screenwriter, and sometime actor. His career has spanned a wide-range of genres including peplum, comedy, drama, poliziottesco and science fiction, yet he is perhaps best known for directing violent and gory horror films with strong elements of realism. His most notable film is '' Cannibal Holocaust'', considered one of the most controversial and brutal in the history of cinema, which was seized, banned or heavily censored in many countries, and which contained special effects so realistic that they led to Deodato being arrested on suspicion of murder. It is also cited as a precursor of found footage films such as ''The Blair Witch Project'' and '' The Last Broadcast''. It was directed by Mario Maffei, Piero Nelli and Ruggero Deodato, the main performers were Jacques Sernas, Riccardo Garrone, and Elio Pandolfi. Alessandro Fersen (5 December 1911 – 3 October 2001) was a Polish-born Italian dramatist, actor, theater director, author and drama teacher. Born Aleksander Fajrajzen in Łódź to a Jewish family, Fersen he moved to Genoa with his family in 1913.
