Francisco Sabino
Francisco Sabino Álvares da Rocha Vieira Barroso (died 1846) was a revolutionary political leader of 19th-century Brazil. He was the leader of the Sabinada rebellion of 1837–38, in which he called for the abolition of slavery and the redistribution of land, but he was defeated. Sabinada
The Sabinada (1837–1838) was a revolt by military officer Francisco Sabino that occurred in Brazil's Bahia province between 6 November 1837 and 16 March 1838. Calling for the abolition of slavery and the redistribution of land, the rebel " Bahia Republic" fought against the government for one year until their capital of Salvador was conquered. Mato Grosso ( – lit. "Thick Bush") is one of the states of Brazil, the third largest by area, located in the Central-West region.
