Francisco Olmos Hernández
Francisco Olmos Hernández (born July 10, 1970), usually known as Paco Olmos, is a Spanish professional basketball coach, who is currently the head coach of the San Pablo Burgos of the Spanish LEB Oro. Coaching career Olmos coached inferior teams of Valencia BC until 1997, when he signed for CB Calpe of the EBA League. In 1999 he made his debut in the second Spanish division LEB League with CB Inca; in the following year he continued in the same division, signing for CB Ciudad de Huelva (2000–01) and for CB Los Barrios (2001–2002). After that, Olmos signed for Pamesa Valencia of ACB League, where he stayed during two years and achieved the best results of the club history: finalist of the 2002–2003 ACB League and 2002–03 ULEB Cup champions. In June 2005 he became the coach of the Spain national under-20 basketball team. ACB League
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB.
