Francisco García Hernández
Francisco García Hernández (born 8 July 1954 in Madrid) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career After finishing his football formation at the club, García Hernández played five full seasons in La Liga with Real Madrid. During his spell, which began in 1978–79, he played in 22 games or more in three campaigns, being only a fringe player in the remaining two. Having appeared in 129 official matches with the ''Merengues'' and won four major titles, Hernández signed in the 1983 summer with CD Castellón in Segunda División, playing there until his retirement six years later, with the exception of 1988–89 which he spent with fellow league side UD Alzira. Manager career From 1992 to 2000, García Hernández worked as a coach, incidentally with his two main clubs. Rafael Benítez
Rafael Benítez Maudes (born 16 April 1960) is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who most recently managed club Everton. Benítez joined Real Madrid's coaching staff at the age of 26, going on to work as the under-19 and reserve team coach, and assistant manager for the senior team. He moved away from Real Madrid in 1995, but management spells at Real Valladolid and Osasuna were short-lived and unsuccessful. He guided Segunda División club Extremadura back to La Liga in his first season in the 1997–98 season, but the team was relegated the following season. He left the club, and coached Tenerife in 2000, winning promotion in his only season. Benítez was appointed coach of Valencia and won La Liga in the 2001–02 season. Copa De La Liga
The Copa de la Liga (League Cup in Spanish) was a Spanish football tournament created in 1982. Due to time constraints, saturation and club pressure, the competition only lasted four years, being cancelled in 1986. Winning the trophy helped two clubs to complete cup doubles: FC Barcelona with the Copa del Rey (1983) and Real Madrid with the UEFA Cup (1985). In all four finals, the team that played the second leg at home won the trophy. Format The League Cup was a straight knock-out competition. All ties were played over two legs, home and away, with the team with the largest aggregate score progressing. The final also consisted of two games. If the aggregate score was tied after two legs of ninety minutes each, extra-time would be played. If that failed to separate the teams, a penalty shootout would determine the winner. 1981–82 Copa Del Rey
The 1981–82 Copa del Rey was the 80th staging of the Spanish Cup, the annual domestic cup competition in the Spanish football. The tournament was attended by 136 teams from the main categories of Spaniard football. The tournament began on 30 August 1981 and ended on 13 April 1982 with the final, held in Nuevo José Zorrilla Stadium, in Valladolid. This field was opened two months earlier and was baptized as Stadium of Pneumonia because it was always cold there. The 1979–80 Copa del Rey was the 78th staging of the Spanish Cup, the annual domestic cup competition in the Spanish football. The tournament was attended by 226 teams from the main categories of Spanish football. The tournament began on 11 September 1979 and ended on 4 June 1980 with the final, held in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. The final was an unusual event as Real Madrid CF faced their reserve team Castilla CF. The final score was 6–1 with Real Madrid getting their fourteenth title and avenging their loss in the final last year.
