Francesco Compagna (Naples, 31 July 1921 – Capri, 24 July 1982) was an Italian politician, journalist and academic. He founded the magazine "Nord e Sud" in 1954 and also collaborated with Il Mondo directed by Mario Pannunzio. Former member of the Italian Liberal Party and the Radical Party, Compagna was elected MP with the Italian Republican Party in the fifth (1968–1972), sixth (1972–1976), seventh Seventh is the ordinal form of the number seven. The Forlani Cabinet, led by Arnaldo Forlani, was the 38th cabinet of the Italian Republic. The government was composed of DC, PSI, PSDI and PRI, with the abstention of the PLI. Since in the Italian Senate the abstention is valid as a contrary vote, the two senators of the PLI did not take part in the vote of confidence to the government. The Spadolini I Cabinet, led by Giovanni Spadolini, was the 39th cabinet of the Italian Republic. The government, in office from 28 June 1981 to 23 August 1982, was led by for the first time in the republican history of Italy by a non-Christian Democrat Prime Minister, the Republican Spadolini. However, Christian Democracy (DC) maintained the majority of ministries, while forming a large coalition of five parties (''Pentapartito'') with Italian Socialist Party (PSI), Italian Democratic Socialist Party (PSDI), Italian Republican Party (PRI) and Italian Liberal Party (PLI). Franco Nicolazzi
Franco Nicolazzi (10 April 1924 – 22 January 2015) was an Italian politician. Nicolazzi was born in Gattico, in the province of Novara. During World War II he fought against the German occupation of Italy with the Brigate Matteotti. He was one of the founders of the Italian Democratic Socialist Party (''Partito Socialista Democratico Italiano'', PSDI) in 1948, an offshoot of the Italian Socialist Party whose members were against the decision to ally with the Italian Communist Party. Nicolazzi was a member of the Italian Parliament from 1963 to 1992; he served also as Minister of Industry in 1979 and then as Minister of Public Works from 1979 to 1987. He retired from political activity after his encroachment in the Tangentopoli scandal, in which he was condemned to a one-year residence order.
