Frances Donovan (poet)
Frances Donovan is a journalist and presenter who has anchored television and radio programmes across major events for both the BBC and ITV, including the Rugby World Cup, the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games and the BAFTAS. Personal life Donovan was born in Cardiff, Wales, and is one of four siblings, the rest of whom are brothers. She went to school in Chepstow and at Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls. She read English and History at University College, Cardiff, and later obtained a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism in Bristol. She is married to the Director of Photography and Lighting Director Andrew Cottey. She has two rescue dogs and is an active supporter of a number of animal welfare charities. Cardiff
Cardiff (; cy, Caerdydd ) is the capital and largest city of Wales. It forms a principal area, officially known as the City and County of Cardiff ( cy, Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, links=no), and the city is the eleventh-largest in the United Kingdom. Matthew Maynard
Matthew Peter Maynard, (born 21 March 1966) is an English cricket coach and former cricketer. He played in four Tests and fourteen ODIs for England. Maynard was a batsman (and, later in his career, wicketkeeper) known for his aggressive and dashing strokeplay. His first-class career with Glamorgan, saw him achieve a batting average of 42.53, take 372 catches and make seven stumpings with the gloves, earned him several caps for England, but he was never able to translate his county form into Test success. He was named a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1998. He was the second batsman for Glamorgan to score a century on debut in a first-class match. The FAW Trust ( cy, Ymddiriedolaeth Bêl-droed Cymru) (formerly known as the Welsh Football Trust) (founded 1996) is recognised as a governing body of sport in Wales by Sport Wales. Gethin Jones
Gethin Clifford Jones (born 12 February 1978) is a Welsh television presenter. He was an active rugby union player while at Manchester Metropolitan University and, after graduation, he began his television career on Welsh language channel S4C as a presenter of children's programmes such as ''Popty'', ''Mas Draw'' and the flagship children's entertainment show ''Uned 5'' (''Unit 5'', 2002–2005). In 2005, Jones became the 31st presenter of BBC children's programme ''Blue Peter''. ''Sport Relief'' was a biennial charity event from Comic Relief, in association with BBC Sport, established in 2002. It was the idea of Kevin Cahill, CBE, who had joined Comic Relief in 1991 to establish a new department as Director of Education and Communications and went on to become its creative director and CEO. BBC Radio Wales
BBC Radio Wales is a Welsh radio station owned and operated by BBC Cymru Wales, a division of the BBC. It began broadcasting on 13 November 1978, replacing the 'Radio 4 Wales' opt-out service (previously the Welsh Home Service). Radio Wales broadcasts in English, whilst sister network Radio Cymru has Welsh language programming.
