France has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest seven times, debuting in Lillehammer, Norway, at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004. Malta participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 as the host country. The Maltese entrant for the 2016 contest in Valletta was selected through a national final, organised by the Maltese broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) on 16 July 2016, while their song was selected internally. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 was the 20th edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Lissandro Formica (born 2009), performing under the mononym Lissandro, is a French teenaged singer best known for winning the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Earlier, in 2020, he had reached the final of the seventh season of the French version of ''The Voice Kids''. He is also an experienced dubbing artist. He has done voice-overs for several television series and animation films. Biography Lissandro was born on 2 October 2009 in the Moselle department. He got an interest in music when he was five. The Eurovision Young Dancers 1989 was the third edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France on 28 June 1989. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster France Régions 3 (FR3), dancers from ten countries participated in the televised final. A total of seventeen countries took part in the competition. and made their debut at the contest.
