Fozia Hashim
Fozia Hashim is a former head of the High Court of Eritrea. She is a Muslim woman of Tigre descent. In 1993, she was appointed to the post of Minister of Justice. As the Minister of Justice she has been responsible for the reorganization of the Court system and the drafting of a new legal code. All Proclamations and legal regulations are vetted by her office. Under her leadership community courts have elected their magistrates. The People's Front for Democracy and Justice ( ti, ህዝባዊ ግንባር ንደሞክራስን ፍትሕን, PFDJ) is the founding, ruling, and sole legal political party of the State of Eritrea. The successor to the left-wing nationalist Eritrean People's Liberation Front (EPLF), the PFDJ holds itself open to nationalists of any political affiliation. The leader of the PFDJ party and current President of Eritrea is Isaias Afwerki. It has been described as totalitarian. The Tigre people ( tig, ትግረ ''tigre'' or ''tigrē'') are an ethnic group indigenous to Eritrea. They mainly inhabit the lowlands and northern highlands of Eritrea. The Community Courts of Eritrea are the foundation of the judicial system in Eritrea.
