Four Golden Princess
M-Girls ( zh, s=四个女生) is a Malaysian girl group consisting of Queenzy Cheng, Angeline Khoo, Cass Chin and Crystal Ong. The group was formed in 2001. Although M-Girls studio albums have been officially released in many different parts of the world, the group has been a longstanding victim to piracy and unlicensed, illegal distribution. As a result, the group's music company, Starmedia, decided to stop producing additional M-Girls albums in 2014. This announcement came out during the release of the Chinese New Year album ''True Happiness'' (真歡喜) in February 2014, weeks after the release of their EP, ''My Way''. In 2015, M-Girls released one last CNY album, ''New Spring Holiday'' (新春佳期), through Starmedia. Afterwards, the group later on decided to part ways with the music company and established their own company, MG Entertainment. Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. Queenzy Cheng Koon Si (; 26 February 1986 – 28 November 2023) was a Malaysian actress and singer. Early in her career, she briefly used the stage name Queenz, adapting the American way of pronouncing Z (pronounced /kwiːn’zi/). Biography Queenzy Cheng was born on 26 February 1986. Her musical career began when she was five, performing solo in a relative's wedding reception. She gradually transformed into an artiste, launching her debut at the age of eight.
