Fort Wayne Fever (W-League)
Fort Wayne Fever was an American women's soccer team, founded in 2004. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues USL W-League, the second tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada. The team plays in the Midwest Division of the Central Conference. The team folded after the 2009 season. The team played its home games at Hefner Stadium in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The team's colors was white and black. The team was a sister organization of the men's Fort Wayne Fever team, which plays in the USL Premier Development League. Hefner Soccer Complex (also known as Hefner Stadium, and Hefner Fields) is a large group of soccer Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The complex consists of 14 fields highlighted by a 2,000-seat stadium. The complex is used by Purdue University Fort Wayne soccer teams, known as the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, and the Fort Wayne Fever of the USL Premier Development League. Erin Beck (born December 26) is a Grammy-nominated American songwriter. She is best known as co-writer of the eight times platinum pop record " Sexy and I Know It" by the band LMFAO. Sarah Elizabeth Kaufman (born September 20, 1985) is a retired Canadian mixed martial artist (MMA). She competed in the women's bantamweight division where she is a former Invicta FC Bantamweight Championship. Kaufman was the inaugural Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion and was also the first and only Hardcore Championship Fighting Women's Bantamweight Champion.
