Fordland is a city in southern Webster County, Missouri, United States. The population was 800 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Fordland was platted in 1882. The community has the name of J. S. Ford, a railroad official for the Fort Scott, Kansas City, and Memphis railroad company. A post office called Fordland has been in operation since 1882.
