The 1987 All-Africa Games football tournament was the 4th edition of the African Games men's football tournament. The football tournament was held in Nairobi, Kenya between 1–12 August 1987 as part of the 1987 All-Africa Games. Nyayo National Stadium
Nyayo National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located at the square of Mombasa Road, Langata Road and the Aerodrome Road. It is approximately two kilometers from the City Center, directly opposite Nairobi Mega Mall, formerly known as Nakumatt Mega. The stadium was built in 1983 for a capacity of 15,000. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The popular AFC Leopards football club plays most of its home games at Nyayo stadium. Lawrence Waya (born 25 May 1963 in Mphonde, Nyasaland) is a former Malawi international football player and manager. Club career Born in the village of Mphonde in Phalombe District, Waya joined local club Bata Bullets in 1980. Sékou Bamba de Karamoko (25 February 1970 in Odienné – 19 April 2008 in Abidjan) was an Ivorian professional footballer who played as a midfielder for several clubs in Africa and Europe. Emmanuel Jérôme Kundé (born 15 July 1956) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He spent the majority of his professional career playing for Canon Yaoundé. Stephen Tataw Eta (31 March 196331 July 2020) was a Cameroonian football right-back who played club football in his home country and Japan. He captained the Cameroon national team at the 1990 and 1994 editions of the FIFA World Cup. He was the first player from Africa to play for a Japanese club.
