Fofão
Fofão is a fictional character from the Brazilian children's TV series '' Balão Mágico'' and ''TV Fofão''. He was portrayed by the Brazilian actor and humorist Orival Pessini. He became a hit amongst Brazilian kids in the early 1980s, having his own TV show, discs, dolls and many licensed products. The character's first appearance was in the morning children's television program ''Balão Mágico'' in 1983, as a supporting character to the children's musical group. However, the character became very popular, arriving to become one of the icons of Brazilian media during the 80s, mainly due to high sales of a plush toy based on the character. After the end of the original program in 1986, the character won a solo program in the same year, broadcast by Rede Bandeirantes until 1989, called ''TV Fofão'' (with a return between 1994–1996). Orival Pessini
Orival Pessini (6 August 1944 – 14 October 2016) was a Brazilian actor, comedian, and writer known for his characters Sócrates, Charles, Fofão, Patropi, Juvenal, Ranulpho Pereira, Hitler (based on the Austrian Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler), Clô (based on the stylist Clodovil Hernandes), Frank (in honor of the singer Frank Sinatra) and others on programs and TV commercials, and also for using latex masks (made by himself) in the composition of his characters. Career Pessini began his career in amateur theatre and later began appearing in famous commercials such as "Jarrão da Ki-Suco" products, "Campanha da AACD" and "Tiger by Kellogg's". His TV debut was on the Children's "Quem Conta Um Conto" on Tupi TV in 1963. Rede Bandeirantes (, ''Bandeirantes Network''), or simply known as Band (), is a Brazilian free-to-air television network. It began broadcasting on May 13, 1967 on VHF channel 13 in São Paulo. Balão Mágico
("Magic Balloon") was a children's television program in Brazil that aired between 1983 and 1986. The children, who were the main stars of the program, were also part of a children's musical group, Turma do Balão Mágico ("The Magic Balloon Gang"), which was active between 1982 and 1986.
