De Rosa is the family brand of Ugo De Rosa. De Rosa's company became renowned during the late 1960s and 1970s for manufacturing road racing bicycles. History Company founder Ugo De Rosa was born on January 27, 1934, in Milan, Italy. Before becoming a noted bicycle frame builder, he was also an amateur racer. De Rosa's passion for racing led him to study mechanics and engineering at a technical college, and in 1953 he opened his first shop and commenced the manufacture of racing bicycles. In 1958 he was asked by the famous cyclist Raphaël Géminiani to build him a bike for the upcoming Giro d'Italia. Following on from this initial interest, De Rosa bikes became a fixture in the professional peloton of the 1960s. The team was the first team to ride De Rosa frames. Henk Vogels
Hendricus "Henk" Vogels (born 31 July 1973, in Perth) is an Australian former professional road bicycle racer who retired from competition at the end of the 2008 season, riding with the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team. He won the Australian national road race title in 1999. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. He was subsequently directeur sportif of the Fly V-Successful Living team. Vogels also provides expert opinion for SBS Cycling Central. Vogels served as sports director of the team in 2014, however he left the team at the end of the season in order to take a break from the sport in 2015 and spend more time with his family. In 2019 he was announced as the sports director of the Australian ARA Pro Racing cycling team, based in Queensland. Jonathan Cantwell
Jonathan Cantwell (8 January 1982 – 6 November 2018) was an Australian professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2014 for the Jittery Joe's, , and teams. During his career, Cantwell won a stage of the Herald Sun Tour, and two stages of the Tour de Taiwan. In 2011, he won the Australian National Criterium Championships. Career Cantwell joined for the 2012 season. Cantwell made his Grand Tour début at the 2012 Tour de France, where he was earmarked as a lead-out man for the team's sprinter, Juan José Haedo; Cantwell took his first top ten placing on stage 4, when he finished sixth on the stage. He finished 137th overall in the Tour. Cantwell left at the end of the 2013 season, and joined for the 2014 season. David Tanner (born 30 September 1984) is an Australian former professional road cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2018 for six different teams.
