Floris Wortelboer
Floris Wortelboer (born 4 August 1996) is a Dutch professional field hockey player who plays as a defender or midfielder for Hoofdklasse club Bloemendaal and the Dutch national team. Club career Wortelboer first played football when he was young but when he was around seven years old he made the switch to hockey and started playing at the local hockey club Teteringen. He then made the switch to Push where he played from the under-12 teams until the first senior men's team. In 2017 he made the switch to Den Bosch where he signed for two seasons. After those two seasons he moved to Bloemendaal in 2017. International career Under–21 Wortelboer made his debut for the Netherlands U–21 team in 2015 during a test series in Breda. The following year he went on to represent the team at the FIH Junior World Cup in Lucknow. Oranje Floris Wortelboer made his senior debut for the Oranje in 2017. Men's FIH Pro League
The Men's FIH Pro League is an international men's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Men's FIH Hockey World League. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Field hockey at the Summer Olympics, Olympic Games. The first edition started in 2019. Nine teams secured their places for four years. Format Nine men's and women's teams compete in a round-robin tournament with home and away matches, played from October to June, with the top team at the end of the season winning the league. From 2021–22 Men's FIH Pro League, 2021-22 onwards, the bottom team at the end of the season will be relegated and will be replaced by the winner of a new competition called the Men's FIH Nations Cup. 2019 Men's FIH Pro League
The 2019 Men's FIH Pro League was the first season of the Pro League, the premier men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in January 2019 and finished in June 2019 in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Australia defeated Belgium 3–2 in the final to win the first FIH Pro League title. The competition also served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics with the four best teams qualifying for the FIH Olympic Qualifiers taking place in October and November 2019. The 2017 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 16th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the EHF.
