Florenz Ziegfeld
Florenz Edward Ziegfeld Jr. (; March 21, 1867 – July 22, 1932) was an American Broadway impresario, notable for his series of theatrical revues, the ''Ziegfeld Follies'' (1907–1931), inspired by the ''Folies Bergère'' of Paris. He also produced the musical ''Show Boat''. He was known as the "glorifier of the American girl". Ziegfeld is a member of the American Theater Hall of Fame. Early life Florenz Edward Ziegfeld Jr. was born on March 21, 1867, in Chicago, Illinois. His mother, Rosalie (''née'' de Hez), who was born in Belgium, was the grandniece of General Count Étienne Maurice Gérard. His father, Florenz Edward Ziegfeld, was a German immigrant whose father was the mayor of Jever in Friesland. Ziegfeld was baptized in his mother's Roman Catholic church. His father was Lutheran. Karl-Heinz Florenz
Karl-Heinz Florenz (born 22 October 1947) is a German politician who served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1999 until 2012. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU), part of the European People's Party. Political career Florenz first became a Member of the European Parliament in the 1989 European elections. He has since been serving on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. On 23 July 2004 he was elected committee's chairman, but later succeeded by Miroslav Ouzký on 1 February 2007 as part of a reshuffle. Today, he serves as the committee's shadow rapporteur on the circular economy. Florenz Regalado (October 13, 1928 – July 24, 2015) was the 14th appointment by President Corazon Aquino to be an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines from July 29, 1988 to October 13, 1998. Regalado is considered the most influential jurist and writer on Remedial Law by far, writing the most complete compendium in one volume as early as 1972. Biography He was born on October 13, 1928 in Concepcion, Iloilo. He graduated Far Eastern University with an Associate in Arts degree in 1949. A year later he entered San Beda College and finished magna cum laude in 1954 at San Beda College of Law, and received his Master of Laws degree from the University of Michigan in 1963.
