Florence Hui
Florence Hui Hiu-fai, SBS (; 6 July 1974 – 3 December 2018) was one of the undersecretaries appointed by the Government of Hong Kong. She served as the Undersecretary for Home Affairs from 2008 to 2017. Education Hui held a Bachelor degree in business administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Cambridge University. The Silver Bauhinia Star (, SBS) is the second Bauhinia Star rank in the honours system of Hong Kong, awarded to people who have taken a leading part in public affairs or voluntary work over a long period. Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Hong Kong Palace Museum
The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a public museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong, exhibiting artefacts from the national Palace Museum at the Forbidden City in Beijing. Construction began in April 2019 and the museum officially opened on 3 July 2022, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong. Political Appointments System
The Political Appointments System is a scheme introduced in 2008 by the Hong Kong Government to reinforce its ministerial team by superseding the Principal Officials Accountability System and inserting two layers of politically appointed officials below the secretaries, who are political appointees. These appointees report only to the secretaries, but not the permanent secretaries, the highest-ranking civil servants. The appointment of undersecretaries and political assistants is an extension of the previous RPAS that was initially confined to principal officials. Prior to the introduction, there were 14 political appointees—3 Secretaries of Departments and 11 Directors of Bureaux. Hong Kong Association Of Banks
The Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB; Chinese language:香港銀行公會 or 銀公會 in short) is an association created based on a series of Bank Ordinances enacted since 1948. In 1981 the association was established and replaced the Exchange Bank Association. The ordinance provides a framework for the Hong Kong Government to exchange views with the banking sector for the further development of the industry. Although banking licenses are granted by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, licensed banks in Hong Kong are required to join the HKAB and are thus subject to HKAB's rules.
