Flamingosi
Flamingosi ( sr, Фламингоси) was a popular Serbian- Montenegrin duo. Its members were the Serbian TV presenter Ognjen Amidžić (a.k.a. Renato) and actor Marinko Madžgalj (a.k.a. Valentino). The group was founded in the summer of 2005. Their style was a mix of typical Serbian Folk, rock and jazz. They became a big hit that year, in turn gaining mass popularity. Together with the folk-jazz singer Louis they were the favourites to win the national pre-selection for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, Evropesma with their song ''Ludi letnji ples'' (Crazy Summer Dance), however due to the dispute they came second, eventually Serbia and Montenegro having to pull out of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. The duo hosted a Serbian game show called Ciao Darwin (Ћао, Дaрвинe, ''Ćao, Darvine'') on RTV Pink. Beovizija 2006
Serbia and Montenegro originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. The union of public broadcasters of Serbia and Montenegro, Udruženje javnih radija i televizija (UJRT) organised the national final ''Evropesma-Europjesma 2006'' in order to select the Serbian and Montenegrin entry for the 2006 contest in Athens, Greece. The Serbian national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), and the Montenegrin broadcaster Radio i televizija Crne Gore (RTCG) each submitted twelve entries from their respective selections ''Beovizija 2006'' and ''Montevizija 2006'' with twenty-four entries in total competing in the national final on 11 March 2006. Evropesma
''Evropesma'' ( sr-Cyrl, Европесма) or ''Europjesma'' ( cnr, Еуропјесма) was a pop song contest in Serbia and Montenegro which ran from 2004 to 2006. The winning song represented the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. It was organized by the Serbia and Montenegro union of broadcasters UJRT (consisting of RTS and RTCG). In 2005 and 2006, ''Beovizija'' and '' Montevizija'' served as Serbia's and Montenegro's semi-finals for ''Evropesma'' (respectively). After the dissolution of the state union between Serbia and Montenegro, the semifinal contests took over the role of this festival. Voting process RTCG argued that fairly anonymous representatives from Montenegro have little chance against a number of big music stars that generally take part on behalf of RTS, and who are usually famous in Montenegro itself. Marinko Madžgalj
Marinko Madžgalj ( sr-cyr, Маринко Маџгаљ; 21 August 1978 – 26 March 2016) was a Serbian actor, singer and television presenter. Biography Madžgalj was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and was raised in Kotor, present-day Montenegro. He was one half of the Flamingosi duo with TV presenter Ognjen Amidžić. His stage name in the duo is Valentino. He died of pancreatic cancer in Belgrade on 26 March 2016. His stage name Louis originated from when he was nine and successfully performed Louis Armstrong's songs. He was among the first to combine jazz with Serbia's folklore. In 1982, he recorded his first record titled ''Ne kuni me, ne ruži me, majko'' (Do Not Curse me ,Do Not Scold Me, Mother), gaining high sales. Marija Šerifović ( sr-cyr, Марија Шерифовић, ; born 14 November 1984) is a Serbian singer. Born in Kragujevac as the daughter of Verica Šerifović, she rose to prominence in 2003 with her debut album ''Naj, Najbolja''. Ciao Darwin
''Ciao Darwin'' is a variety game show format created and hosted by Paolo Bonolis (Stefano Magnaghi is the co-creator), and produced by the Italian mass media company Mediaset. There are two competing teams of 50 people each, usually made up of people who fit certain opposing stereotypes. In each game two members of the audience are selected at random, one from each team, indicated by a light in front of them which remains illuminated when all the other team members' lights have gone off. The games involve contestants competing in acts of skill, intelligence and general knowledge, with deliberately ridiculous results, trying to mimic the mechanism of natural selection theorized by Charles Darwin. Jelena Tomašević ( sr-cyr, Јелена Томашевић, ; born November 1, 1983) is a Serbian pop singer of international career famed for her strong vocal performances. She has won numerous awards for her songs and represented Serbia at 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, coming sixth with the song "Oro".
