First Of My Kind
''First of My Kind'' is an EP by the English indie rock musician Miles Kane. It was released on 21 April 2012 as a Limited Edition Record Store Day Vinyl, then as a digital download the next day, both in the United Kingdom. The title song peaked at number 65 on the UK Singles Chart. The song premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record In The World' on 14 March 2012. Production on the title track was handled by dubstep pioneer Skream in a move away from his more familiar sound. Music video A music video to accompany the release of "First of My Kind" was first released onto YouTube on 11 April 2012 at a total length of three minutes and ten seconds. |
Miles Kane
Miles Peter Kane (born 17 March 1986) is an English musician, best known as a solo artist and the co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets. He was also the former frontman of the Rascals, before the band announced their break-up in August 2009. He is currently pursuing a solo career, and continues to be a part of the Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. His debut solo album, ''Colour of the Trap'', was released on 9 May 2011 and the follow-up, ''Don't Forget Who You Are'' was released on 3 June 2013. His third solo album, '' Coup De Grace'', was released on 10 August 2018 via Virgin EMI. His latest solo album, ''Change the Show'', was released on 21 January 2022 through BMG Rights Management. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. Alexander David Turner (born 6 January 1986) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is well known as the frontman and principal songwriter of the rock band Arctic Monkeys, with whom he has released seven albums. Eugene Michael McGuinness (born 11 August 1985 in Leytonstone, London) is an English singer-songwriter and frontman of Eugene + the Lizards. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
