Fire Island (band)
Fire Island are an English house music duo, made up of producers and remixers Pete Heller and Terry Farley. Both are prolific musicians who have an extensive list of remixes to their credit, using the Fire Island moniker and also being billed as Heller & Farley Project, Roach Motel or Farley & Heller. As Fire Island, they hit number one on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1998 with " Shout to the Top", a song originally recorded by the Style Council in 1984 and with lead vocals supplied by Loleatta Holloway. It also peaked at number 23 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo also had a hit single on both charts in 1992 with "In Your Bones / Fire Island" (the latter featuring Ricardo da Force). They collaborated with Michael Jackson for the song "Money", which appeared on the album '' Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix'', as well as providing a remix for the title song. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. Archaeological evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. The Style Council
The Style Council were a British musical ensemble, band formed in late 1982 by Paul Weller, the former singer, songwriter and guitarist with the punk rock/New wave music, new wave/mod revival band the Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot, previously a member of Dexys Midnight Runners, The Bureau (band), the Bureau and the Merton Parkas. The band enabled Weller to take his music in a more soulful direction. The permanent line-up grew to include drummer Steve White (drummer), Steve White and Weller's then-girlfriend, vocalist Dee C. Lee. "Shout to the Top!" is a song by the English band the Style Council which was their seventh single to be released. It was composed by lead singer Paul Weller, and was released in 1984.
