Fiona Cumming
Fiona Cumming (9 October 1937 – 1 January 2015) was a Scottish television director, noted for her work on the BBC television series, '' Doctor Who'', during the show's Fifth Doctor era. Her credits included the 1982 episode, '' Castrovalva'', the Season 19 premiere which marked the debut of Peter Davison as the show's fifth Doctor. Her other work with the show included ''Snakedance'' in January 1983 and '' Enlightenment'' in March 1983 for season 20. Cumming shot much of the 1984 serial, ''Planet of Fire'', on location in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Life Cumming was raised in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland. She began her career as an actress at the Royal Scottish Academy. She appeared in both film and television. Paddy Russell
Patricia "Paddy" Russell (4 July 1928 – 2 November 2017) was a British television director. She was among the earliest female directors at the BBC. Early life and career Born in Highgate, to Bertie Russell, a P&O clerk, and his wife, Alicia (née Quinn) It was only by including a stage management element to her course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama that Russell was able to overcome her father's resistance to her pursuing such a career. She began her brief career as an actress while still a student working on productions supervised by Michael Barry who cast her in ''Toad of Toad Hall'', and later in the same year in ''The Insect Play'' (both 1950). Peter Purves
Peter John Purves (; born 10 February 1939) is an English television presenter and actor. He played Steven Taylor in ''Doctor Who'' under the First Doctor, a role he continued to play in audio dramas for Big Finish Productions. He later became a presenter on the BBC children's programme ''Blue Peter'' for eleven years. He has continued to make regular television appearances, including coverage of the Crufts dog show. Early life Purves was born in New Longton, near Preston, Lancashire. His father was a tailor who also ran a hotel in Blackpool for a short period. He was educated at the independent Arnold School in Blackpool and in the sixth form at Barrow-in-Furness Grammar School for Boys for a year, where he took A-levels and gained a pass in mathematics. ''The Massacre'' (also known as ''The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve'') is the completely missing fourth serial of the third season in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts from 5 to 26 February 1966. In this serial, the Doctor (William Hartnell) and his travelling companion Steven (Peter Purves) arrive in France in 1572, during the events leading up to the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre. Bellahouston Academy
Bellahouston Academy is a non-denominational state-run secondary school in Bellahouston, south-west Glasgow, Scotland. History Bellahouston Academy first opened in 1876 as a private school run by Alexander Sim. It was taken over by the Govan School Board in 1885, and has been a state school ever since. The school buildings have recently been refurbished to provide for 1100 pupils. The site of the Academy was donated by the Misses Steven of Bellahouston whose generosity also provided the clocktower, and the building was designed by a Bath Street architect, Robert Balde. ITV Border
ITV Border, previously Border Television and commonly referred to as simply Border, is the Channel 3 service provided by ITV Broadcasting Limited for the England/Scotland border region, covering most of Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and parts of Northumberland.
