Eurovision Young Musicians 1984
The Eurovision Young Musicians 1984 was the second edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, held at the Victoria Hall (Geneva), Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland on 22 May 1984. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster the SRG SSR, Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), musicians who could be no older than 19 years of age, from seven countries participated in the televised final hosted by Georges Kleinmann. They were all accompanied by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Roman Swiss Orchestra, conducted by Horst Stein. and made their début, while withdrew from competition. The Netherlands's Isabelle van Keulen won the contest, with Finland and the placing second and third respectively. The Eurovision Dance Contest was an international ballroom dancing competition that was held for the first time in the United Kingdom on Saturday 1 September 2007. The contest was similar in format to the long-running Eurovision Song Contest and was organized by both the Eurovision association and the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF). The IDSF credits the existence of the contest to Richard Bunn of rbi network, Geneva, former EBU controller of sport, who convinced the EBU to create the programme. Format and general information The competition consisted of pairs of dancers from each participating country, each pair performing one dance, a freestyle dance in which the cultures of the individual countries could be showcased to the rest of Europe. The Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 was the twentieth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians. It took place at the Corum in Montpellier on 23 July 2022. The live show was hosted by French playwright Judith Chaine and Belgian radio presenter Vincent Delbushaye, with the Montpellier Occitanie National Opera Orchestra conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this edition was co-hosted by French broadcasters Radio France and France Télévisions, as part of a summer series of music events called Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier. Musicians representing nine countries with EBU membership participated in the contest, with Austria and host country France returning. The Eurovision Young Musicians 2010 was the fifteenth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, held at the Rathausplatz in Vienna, Austria on 14 May 2010. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF), musicians from seven countries participated in the televised final.
