Fingertips (EP)
''Fingertips'' is an extended play by Australian folk musician Vera Blue. It is the first EP released under this name as she released previous music under her birth name Celia Pavey. It was released on 13 May 2016. Upon release Blue said; "I've always wanted to create something that's a blend of folk and cool, heavy, thick sounds. This is the music I have been wanting to make and I feel like I'm unleashing." Vera Blue promoted the album by supporting Matt Corby on his '' Telluric'' tour and Broods on their Australian tour in July 2016. Celia Pavey, known professionally as Vera Blue, is an Australian singer-songwriter signed with Island Records Australia, which is part of Universal Music Australia. Her folk-inspired album '' This Music'' peaked at number 14 on the Australian ARIA Charts in July 2013. Pavey sings, and plays the guitar and the violin. She placed third in season 2 of ''The Voice Australia''. Her debut album ''Perennial'' achieved Gold certification in Australia after its release in 2017. Helen Elizabeth Croome (born 1983), better known by her stage-name Gossling, is an Australian folk/pop singer-songwriter. Gossling formed after Croome put Psychology/Sociology studies on hold to concentrate on a Bachelor of Music (Composition) at Box Hill Institute. In 2009 Croome met the musicians now joining her as Gossling being Joshua Jones – bass, Peter Marin – drums and Ryan Meeking- guitar. ''This Music'' is the debut studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Celia Pavey. It was released in July 2013 and peaked at number 14 on the ARIA Charts. Background and release In 2013 Pavey auditioned for ''The Voice (Australia season 4), The Voice Australia'' and was mentored by Delta Goodrem. In June she became the second runner-up behind Harrison Craig and Luke Kennedy. She was signed to Universal Music Australia immediately following the show and recorded an album featuring songs Pavey had performed on the show along with "a couple of extras". Broods is a New Zealand musical duo from Nelson, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals. They released the single "Bridges", which went to No. 8 on the New Zealand singles chart, and signed with Capitol and Polydor Records. ''Telluric'' is the debut studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby. The album was released on 11 March 2016. The album was announced in October 2015, alongside lead single, "Monday". Background He originally wrote his debut album two years ago in Los Angeles, but disliked the results and scrapped it. His aim was to become self-sufficient in every aspect of the recording process and salvage his confidence, which had reached rock bottom. He wanted to know he was good enough to make his debut record. Corby explained; "I recorded an album two years ago that I didn't like. For a lot of reasons I wouldn't release it.
