Findlay Brown
Findlay Brown is a Yorkshire-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and producer. His music is melodic, gentle and intimate, drawing on influences from the rural settings where he grew up. His songs are metaphoric, often using nature's imagery to illustrate the inner conflict in the search for a more truthful way of living. His debut album, ''Separated By the Sea'', was released in 2007 on Peacefrog Records in the UK. It was produced by former Simian singer, Simon Lord. Briganté
Briganté is a rock/indie/alternative band from Bedford, United Kingdom. They are known for singing in a deep melodic style. Beginnings Simon Cronin (lead singer), Chris Mills (electric guitar), Padraig Clarke (3/4 guitar) and Luke Fattorusso (bass guitar/backing vocals) were initially part of a cover band. After little success performing in several local gigs raising money for charity, the cover band eventually ran its course. At this point it was decided that a new band should be formed with some of the members from the original. This led to the creation of Rate of the Day (ROTD) in May 2006. While predominantly an indie band, ROTD branched into areas of rock and roll and alternative rock, with songs such as "Waging War" and "Takin' Part". John Renbourn
John Renbourn (8 August 1944 – 26 March 2015) was an English guitarist and songwriter. He was best known for his collaboration with guitarist Bert Jansch as well as his work with the folk group Pentangle, although he maintained a solo career before, during and after that band's existence (1967–1973). He worked later in a duo with Stefan Grossman. While most commonly labelled a folk musician, Renbourn's musical tastes and interests took in early music, classical music, jazz, blues and world music. His most influential album, ''Sir John Alot'' (1968), featured his take on tunes from the medieval period. Infinity Ink is a London-based vocal/music production/DJ duo made up of Italian Luca Cazal and British Ali Love. They have released music through Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and, most recently, Cooltempo. Early career Originally they formed the duo The Benedictions, playing 1960s and 1970s folk rock-inspired music on acoustic guitar. The name of the duo Infinity Ink came when the duo were playing in Moldova on their tour. They noticed a nearby factory that was called 'Infinity Inc'. So they adopted the name changing the "c" to a "k", giving it a completely new twist. Infinity Ink found fame through two tracks released in 2012. Simon Locke Lord (first name sometimes Simeon; March 8, 1826 – February 17, 1893) was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate. Biography Lord was born in Limington, Maine, in 1826. After graduating from the Jefferson Medical College, Lord moved to Edgerton, Wisconsin, in 1858. Bert Jansch
Herbert Jansch (3 November 1943 – 5 October 2011) was a Scottish folk musician and founding member of the band Pentangle. He was born in Glasgow and came to prominence in London in the 1960s as an acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter. He recorded more than 28 albums and toured extensively from the 1960s to the 21st century. Jansch was a leading figure in the 1960s British folk revival, touring folk clubs and recording several solo albums, as well as collaborating with other musicians such as John Renbourn and Anne Briggs.
