''Finding Favour EP'' is the debut EP from Christian band Finding Favour. The album released on March 12, 2013, by Gotee Records, and the producers on the EP are Dustin Burnett, Rob Hawkins and Christopher Stevens. This EP had two singles that were commercially and airplay successful "Slip On By" and "Shake the World", and it got positive critical reception. Critical reception The eponymously titled EP ''Finding Favour'' garnered generally positive reception from seven music critics. At ''CCM Magazine'', Grace Aspinwall rated the EP three stars out of five, writing that "Packed with a soulful and rich vocal, and strong songwriting, this project ..will pique the interest of any fan of Needtobreathe." Cortney Warner of Jesus Freak Hideout rated the EP three stars out of five, stating that "the songs deliver catchy beats and encouraging lyrics with tried and true messages", however "it overall feels safe and more 'paint-by-numbers' than something that's fresh and creative." Finding Favour
Finding Favour is a contemporary Christian music band from Vidalia, Georgia. They are on the Gotee Records label, and released their first studio EP entitled ''Finding Favour EP'' on March 12, 2013. The EP has achieved positive critical reception. In addition, the EPs two lead singles have seen commercial and radio airplay successes. Background In 2005, Finding Favour was formed in Vidalia, Georgia and it consisted of Blake NeeSmith, Allen Dukes, Dustin Daniels, and Ricky Dunn. Nathan Tomberlin joined the band in 2008. Dunn resigned later that year and was replaced by Aaron Tomberlin. Nathan and Aaron resigned in 2012 and soon after Joshua Duckworth joined the band. Gotee Records
Gotee Records is a record label founded by Christian hip hop performer Toby McKeehan (known professionally as ''TobyMac''), Todd Collins, and Joey Elwood. The label began as a production company. At the time of the label's founding, McKeehan was a member of dc Talk. Formation of Gotee McKeehan and Collins intended to produce Out of Eden's ''Lovin' the Day'', but they couldn't find a label to sign the act to, and so formed Gotee Records and began distributing the band's material on their own. The label was a part of EMI Christian Music Group. However, they bought back EMI's minority share to become fully independent again as of March 31, 2008. Toby McKeehan is currently the president of the company and as of 2009, the label is currently distributed by Warner Bros. Records. Dustin Burnett, (born October 22, 1977) commonly known as Zayde Wolf (also formatted as Zayde Wølf) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. His songs have been shown in many forms of media, including film, television, video games, and advertisements. Early life Dustin Burnett was born on October 22, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky, but he was raised in the town of Metropolis, Illinois. His mother sold the family piano to buy a keyboard, which was then sold to buy a guitar for him. His parents always saved money to get Burnett and his brothers instruments. Career Before becoming Zayde Wolf, Burnett was in the alternative rock band The October as the lead singer, along with producing songs for other artists such as Tyrone Wells, Us the Duo, and Dave Barnes. Christopher Stevens (musician)
Christopher Stevens (born November 29, 1967), was an American record producer, mix-engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Early and personal life Stevens was born Christopher Edmund Stevens, on November 29, 1967, in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from North Eugene High School and studied electronics at Lane Community College. After working as a composer for video games in the 1990s, Stevens eventually relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue songwriting and record production full-time.
