Fin (comics)
The Fin is the name of two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Golden Age Fin has elements of both the swashbuckling pirate and superhero genres. Publication history Stories about the first Fin initially appeared in ''Daring Mystery Comics'' #7-8, (April 1941, Jan.1942) and, in issue #9 (April 1942) as well after the title's name change to ''Comedy Comics''; The Fin was created by Bill Everett. Decades later, a simulacrum of the Fin briefly appeared, along with simulacra of the Blazing Skull, the Patriot, and the Golden Age Angel and Vision, to aid the superhero team the Avengers in ''The Avengers'' #97 (March 1972). Finn (comics)
Finn is a fictional pagan warlock eco-terrorist created by Pat Mills. He first appeared in British fortnightly anthology comic ''Crisis'' in 1989 in the strip ''Third World War'' and later moved to an eponymous series in '' 2000 AD'' after ''Crisis'' was cancelled in 1991. Publication history The character was popular but the series ended in 1996. According to David Bishop the reason the character was suspended was due to concerns that he was in danger of duplicating the appeal of Mills's '' Sláine''. Mills has speculated that part of the reason was because some readers were complaining in the letters page about Finn "being a sinister witch and saying his authentic pagan practices were a bad example to readers". Namorita Prentiss is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is a mutant clone of her mother, Namora, and a member of the New Warriors. She was killed in the explosion in Stamford that started the Superhero Civil War. A version of her from an alternate universe took her place in the aftermath.
