Figure skating at the 2019 Winter Universiade was held on March 7-9 at the Platinum Arena in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, ice dancing, and synchronized skating. Regulations Skaters who were born between 1 January 1994 and 31 December 2001 are eligible to compete at the Winter Universiade if they are registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at a university or similar institute, or obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event. In pairs and ice dance, only one partner must be a citizen of the country for which they are competing. Each nation may send a maximum of three entries per discipline, except synchronized skating for which the maximum is two teams. Medalists Withdrawn events On 17 January, it was announced the cancellation of pairs competition in the figure skating due to the low number of entrants. Alexander Sergeyevich Korovin (russian: Александр Сергеевич Коровин, born 15 February 1994) is a Russian pair skater. As of October 2022, he competes with Isabella Gamez for the Philippines. Earlier in his career, he represented Russia with Alisa Efimova. The pair won one Grand Prix medal, silver at the 2018 Skate America, and five medals on the ISU Challenger Series, including gold at the 2018 CS Nebelhorn Trophy and 2018 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb. Team Unique is a senior-level synchronized skating team from Helsinki, Finland, representing the figure skating club Helsingfors Skridskoklubb (HSK). Established in 1993 and competing at the senior level since 1996, Team Unique are the 2013 world champions, 2009 world silver medalists and the 2013 and 2016 Finnish champions. Louis Thauron (born 5 August 1995) is a French ice dancer. With his former partner Adelina Galyavieva, he is the 2021 French National Champion. With Angélique Abachkina, he represented France at four World Junior Championships, finishing within the top ten at three editions (2015–2017).
