Cieszyn
Cieszyn ( , ; cs, Těšín ; german: Teschen; la, Tessin; szl, Ćeszyn) is a border town in southern Poland on the east bank of the Olza River, and the administrative seat of Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship. The town has 33,500 inhabitants (as of December 2021), and lies opposite Český Těšín in the Czech Republic. Both towns belong to the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia, and formerly as one town composed the capital of the Duchy of Cieszyn. Geography The town is situated on the Olza river, a tributary of the Oder River, which forms the border with the Czech Republic. Peter Reitmayer (born 6 July 1993) is a Slovak former competitive figure skater. A two-time senior national champion, he represented Slovakia at the 2009 World Junior Championships, 2010 European Championships, and 2010 World Championships. He also competed at the 2009 Nebelhorn Trophy, the final qualifying opportunity for the 2010 Winter Olympics. His placement, 21st, was not high enough to earn a spot at the Olympics.
