Fifth on the Floor was an American country rock band formed in Lexington, Kentucky in 2006, and consisted of Justin Wells (musician), Justin Wells (vocals/guitars), Jason Parsons (bass/vocals), and Kevin Hogle (drums). History The band formed in the summer of 2006. They released their independent debut album, ''The Color of Whiskey'', in December, 2007. After writing a new batch of songs and touring throughout the Southern United States, the band released ''Dark and Bloody Ground'' in March 2010. Justin Wells (musician)
Justin William Wells (born August 11, 1982) is an American country music and roots rock singer-songwriter. Wells has released two solo albums as well as four albums as singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist for former Lexington, Kentucky alternative country/southern rock band Fifth on the Floor. Personal life Wells is married and lives with his wife in Lexington, Kentucky. They have identical twin daughters. Career Wells started writing songs and performing in high school. He moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 2005 to start a band, and a year later founded Fifth on the Floor. Fifth on the Floor self-released two albums, 2007's ''The Color of Whiskey'' and 2010's ''Dark and Bloody Ground''. Dale Watson (born October 7, 1962 in Birmingham, Alabama) is an American country/Texas country singer, guitarist, songwriter, and self-published author based in Marshall, TX. He champions "Ameripolitan" as a new genre of original music and has positioned himself as a tattooed, stubbornly independent outsider who is interested in recording authentic country music. The Steepwater Band is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1998 by the trio of Jeff Massey (guitars and vocals), Joe Winters (drums), and Tod Bowers (bass). The band took their name from a cargo vessel that Massey sighted in a port on Lake Michigan. Whitey Morgan and the 78's are an American honky tonk country band based in Flint, Michigan. In 2010, they signed a recording contract with Chicago-based Bloodshot Records. Chris Knight (born June 24, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter from Slaughters, Kentucky. In addition to releasing solo records of his own material, Knight has had a successful career writing songs that have been recorded by Confederate Railroad, John Anderson, and Randy Travis among others.
