Field Hockey At The 2019 Pan American Games – Women's Tournament
The Women's field hockey tournament at the 2019 Pan American Games will be the 9th edition of the field hockey event for women at the Pan American Games. It will take place over a twelve-day period beginning on 29 July, and culminated with the medal finals on 9 August. The winner of this tournament will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Qualification A total of eight women's teams qualified to compete at the games. The host nation (Peru) received automatic qualification. The top two teams at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games and 2018 South American Games also qualified. The top two teams not yet qualified from the 2017 Pan American Cup (after the results from the above two tournaments are taken into account) also qualified. If Canada and/or the United States have not qualified still, a playoff between the nations and the third-ranked at the Pan American Cups will take place. Brienne Stairs (born 22 December 1989) is a Canadian women's field hockey player. Stairs first represented Canada in 2011, and has become a mainstay in the national team since. She has competed at two Pan American Games and two Pan American Cup's taking home a bronze medal from each. Yunia Milanes
''Yunia'' is a genus of extinct vascular plants from the Early Devonian (Pragian or Siegenian stage, around ). It was first described from the Posongchong Formation of Yunnan, China. The leafless plant consisted of spiny stems, some 2 to 5 cm wide, which branched dichotomously at wide angles in a cruciate arrangement. Each stem contained vascular tissue with one or two strands of protoxylem. The spore-forming organs (sporangia) were elongated and borne on short stalks. The spores had a relatively smooth sculptural pattern and were trilete (i.e. each spore has three lines on it resulting from its formation in a tetrahedral set of four spores). Career Junior national team Stanley made her debut for the Uruguayan U–21 team in 2012 at the Pan American Junior Championship in Guadalajara.
