Arthur Fiedler
Arthur Fiedler (December 17, 1894 – July 10, 1979) was an American conductor known for his association with both the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops orchestras. With a combination of musicianship and showmanship, he made the Boston Pops one of the best-known orchestras in the United States. Fiedler was sometimes criticized for over-popularizing music, particularly when adapting popular songs or editing portions of the classical repertoire, but he kept performances informal and sometimes self-mocking to attract a bigger audience. Leslie Aaron Fiedler (March 8, 1917 – January 29, 2003) was an American literary critic, known for his interest in mythography and his championing of genre fiction. His work incorporates the application of psychological theories to American literature. Fiedler's best known work is the book ''Love and Death in the American Novel'' (1960). A retrospective article on Leslie Fiedler in the New York Times Book Review in 1965 referred to ''Love and Death in the American Novel'' as "one of the great, essential books on the American imagination . . . an accepted major work." Fiedler Contingency Model
The contingency model by business and management psychologist Fred Fiedler is a contingency theory concerned with the effectiveness of a leader in an organization. Premises The most common situational theory was developed by Fred Fiedler. Fiedler believed that an individual's leadership style is the result of their experiences throughout the lifespan, and therefore extremely difficult to change. Fiedler argued that one should concentrate on helping people understand their particular leadership style and how to match that style to the particular situation rather than teaching people a particular leadership style. Fiedler developed the Least-Preferred Coworker Scale in order to help one understand their specific leadership style. Jay Brian Fiedler (born December 29, 1971) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He played 76 games at quarterback in the NFL, starting 60, and threw 69 touchdowns. He was inducted into the National Jewish Museum Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. François Fiedler (1921–2001), born Fiedler Ferenc, was a Czechoslovakia-born French painter and printmaker. Fred Edward Fiedler (July 13, 1922 - June 8, 2017) was one of the leading researchers of industrial and organizational psychology in the 20th century. He helped shape psychology and was a leading psychologist. He was born in Vienna, Austria to Victor and Helga Schallinger Fiedler. His parents owned a textile and tailoring supply store prior to 1938. Fiedler immigrated to the United States shortly after the Anschluss in 1938 and became a US citizen in 1943. Hermann Georg Fiedler (28 April 1862 – 10 April 1945) was a German scholar, who became Taylor Professor of the German Language and Literature at the University of Oxford (1907–37). Patrick Fiedler
Patrick J. Fiedler (born 1953) is an American lawyer, mediator, and jurist from Wisconsin. He was a Wisconsin circuit court judge in Dane County for 18 years, from 1993 to 2011. Earlier in his career, he was the 2nd secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, in the cabinet of governor Tommy Thompson, and he served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, appointed by President Ronald Reagan. Max Fiedler (21 December 1859, Zittau – 1 December 1939, Stockholm) was a German conductor and composer, born August Max Fiedler in Zittau, Saxony, Germany. He was especially noted as an interpreter of Brahms. He first studied the piano with his father, who conducted the accompanying orchestra when Max made his first public appearance at the age of ten in 1870, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto in A, K.488. Richard Kurt Fiedler (24 April 1908 – 14 December 1974) was a German Nazi Party politician, SA and SS ''Brigadeführer'' and ''Generalmajor'' of police. During the Second World War, he was involved in Holocaust-related repressions in areas annexed from Poland, and in Montenegro where he served as the SS and Police Leader (SSPF). Early life Fiedler, born to a working-class family from Berlin, received a vocational education and trained to become a locksmith. Roberta Frances "Bobbi" Fiedler (née Horowitz; April 22, 1937 – March 3, 2019) was an American politician who served as a Republican U.S. Representative from California. Early life and education Born Roberta Frances Horowitz in Santa Monica, California on April 22, 1937, Fiedler attended area public schools. The Juliana Theory is an American rock duo from Greensburg and Latrobe, Pennsylvania, United States. They signed to Tooth & Nail Records, and later to Epic Records for the release of the album ''Love''. They released four studio albums before disbanding in 2006.
