Fiction (Coldrain Song)
"Fiction" is the debut maxi-single by Japanese rock band Coldrain, it was released on November 5, 2008. Before this single, the band had never recorded and released other material. To help spread their name, they handed out demos of this record around Nagoya to help encourage people to go to their shows. "Fiction" was the only song off this maxi-single to be included on Coldrain's debut studio album ''Final Destination''. However, the song was remastered for the album to produce a different sound to what it was on the maxi single version. Later on in his career, frontman Masato Hayakawa stated that when making this record he did not think they would ever get noticed or succeed because of the quality and chemistry of them all as a band. He also stated that they were signed to a major label far too early in their lifespan. are a Japanese Rock music, rock band from Nagoya, Japan, who were formed in 2007. The band combines melodic singing with screams typical of the post-hardcore genre. Although the band is Japanese, all of their songs are written in English. The lineup consists of lead vocalist Masato Hayakawa, guitarists Ryo Yokochi (Y.K.C.) and Kazuya Sugiyama (Sugi), bassist Ryo Shimizu (RxYxO) and drummer Katsuma Minatani. Hayakawa has a Japanese father and an American mother and speaks both Japanese and English fluently. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016.
