Fiach O'Toole
Fiach O'Toole (born 2002) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Naomh Bríd, while he has also lined out at inter-county level with various Carlow teams. Career O'Toole first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Naomh Bríd club in Leighlinbridge. He subsequently progressed to adult level and was part of the club's intermediate team that won the Carlow IHC title in 2021. O'Toole first appeared on the inter-county scene with Carlow during a two-year tenure with the minor team in 2018 and 2019. He later spent a number of seasons with the under-20 team and was the team's top scorer in 2022. By this stage, O'Toole had already joined the Carlow senior hurling team. He came on as a substitute when Carlow beat Offaly in extra-time to claim the Joe McDonagh Cup title in 2023. Naomh Bríd GAA
Naomh Bríd is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Ireland. The club is solely concerned with the game of hurling. History Located in the town of Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Naomh Bríd was founded in February 1996 when Parnells of Leighlinbridge and St. Fintan's of Ballinabranna decided to amalgamate. Former Wexford hurler, Christy Keogh, was the team's first manager and, after a practice game against Marshalstown, their first competitive game was against losing 1995 finalists Carlow Town in the Bolger Cup. Their inaugural season yielded the ultimate in terms of club success, when the Carlow SHC title was secured after a defeat of St. Mullin's. The club claimed further Carlow SHC titles in 2004 and 2008 and has the distinction of having never lost a final. 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship
The 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the fourth staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 58th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. The championship began on 2 April 2022 and ended on 22 May 2022. Cork entered the championship as defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. The final was played on 22 May 2022 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, between Kilkenny and Limerick, in what was their first meeting in a final in five years. Kilkenny won the match by 0-19 to 0-18 to claim their 12th championship title overall and a first title since 2008. Kilkenny's Billy Drennan was the championship's top scorer with 1-40. 2023 Joe McDonagh Cup
The 2023 Joe McDonagh Cup is due to be the sixth staging of the Joe McDonagh Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2018 Joe McDonagh Cup, 2018. Antrim county hurling team, Antrim, winner of the 2022 Joe McDonagh Cup, 2022 final, were promoted to the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, replaced by Laois county hurling team, Laois who were relegated back to this competition. Kildare county hurling team, Kildare were promoted from the Christy Ring Cup. The top 2 teams from the round robin stage will play off in the final to decide the winner. The Joe McDonagh Cup is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Carlow Senior Hurling Team
The Carlow county hurling team represents Carlow in hurling and is governed by Carlow GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the Joe McDonagh Cup and the National Hurling League. Carlow's home ground is Dr Cullen Park, Carlow. The team's manager is Tom Mullally. The team has never won the Leinster Senior Championship, the All-Ireland Senior Championship or the National League. History Carlow have won three Christy Ring Championships.
