Ferrari F92A
The Ferrari F92A was a Formula One car designed by Jean-Claude Migeot for Ferrari for use in the 1992 Formula One season. There were two versions of the car, the original version raced in the first eleven races of the season, with the updated F92AT version racing in the latter stages of the season. The car was driven by Jean Alesi for the entire season, and by Ivan Capelli for most of the season, before he was sacked and replaced by Nicola Larini. The car was most famous for its "double-flat bottom" floor which produced a competitive level of downforce, but it was hamstrung by the Ferrari V12 engine which suffered excessive blow-by, reckoned to cost the team up to 50bhp. With Ferrari notorious for silencing any criticism of their powerplant, the F92A's failings were blamed on the revolutionary chassis being too difficult to drive instead. Jean Alesi
Jean Alesi (born Giovanni Alesi, 11 June 1964) is a French professional racing driver of Italian origin. After successes in minor categories, notably winning the 1989 Formula 3000 Championship, his Formula One career included spells at Tyrrell, Benetton, Sauber, Prost, Jordan and Ferrari, where he proved very popular among the Tifosi. During his spell at Ferrari from 1991 to 1995, his aggressive driving style, combined with the use of the number 27 on his car, led some journalists and the Tifosi to compare him to Gilles Villeneuve. He won the 1995 Canadian Grand Prix, but this proved to be the only win of his Formula One career. 1992 Mexican Grand Prix
The 1992 Mexican Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on 22 March 1992. It was the second race of the 1992 Formula One World Championship. The 69-lap race was won from pole position by British driver Nigel Mansell, driving a Williams Grand Prix Engineering, Williams-Renault in Formula One, Renault. Italian teammate Riccardo Patrese finished second, with Michael Schumacher third in a Benetton Formula, Benetton-Ford Motor Company, Ford, the first of an eventual 155 podiums for the German driver. ''F1 2013'' is a video game developed by Codemasters based on the 2013 Formula One season. It uses the EGO Engine. ''F1 2013'' was released in Europe in 2013 on PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox 360 on October 4. A digital version was released worldwide on the Steam Store, as well as on 8 October for the PlayStation Store and 15 October for Xbox Games on Demand, with a further release on Mac OS X by Feral Interactive in March 2014. Gameplay The game features all eleven teams and twenty-two drivers competing in the 2013 season, as well as the nineteen circuits and Grands Prix. The Fiorano Circuit () is a private racetrack owned by Ferrari for development and testing purposes. It is located in Fiorano Modenese, near the Italian town of Maranello. The circuit has FIA Grade 1 license. Work begun in 1971 and officially open on 8 April 1972, it was originally wide and 3000 metres (1.86 miles) long. In 1992, a chicane was added making it 3021 metres (1.88 miles) long, then in 1996 a new renovated track was introduced (a fast bend to replace a sharp corner at the end of the pit straight) which shortened the total length by 24 metres (0.02 miles). Alessandro Nannini
Alessandro "Sandro" Nannini (born 7 July 1959) is a former racing driver from Italy. He is the younger brother of singer Gianna Nannini. His five-year F1 career resulted in his one and only win at the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix but ended less than a year later after a helicopter crash severed his right forearm. Biography Nannini was born in Siena. He began racing in a Lancia Stratos at national rally events before switching to Formula Italia in 1981. From 1982 to 1984, he raced for Minardi in Formula 2, attracting some attention for his speed in the uncompetitive car. An active suspension is a type of automotive suspension on a vehicle. It uses an onboard system to control the vertical movement of the vehicle's wheels relative to the chassis or vehicle body rather than the passive suspension provided by large springs where the movement is determined entirely by the road surface. Active suspensions are divided into two classes: real active suspensions, and adaptive or semi-active suspensions. While semi-adaptive suspensions only vary shock absorber firmness to match changing road or dynamic conditions, active suspensions use some type of actuator to raise and lower the chassis independently at each wheel. The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy.
