Ferran Font (Born in Vic, Barcelona, November 12, 1996) is a Spanish economist and a hockey athlete. He obtained the second position in the European Championship U-17 in 2011 in Geneva, and won the Wilmott Quantitative Trading in 2014 in Chicago, United States. Font is a professional roller hockey player who plays for Sporting CP. Roller Hockey (quad)
Roller hockey (in British English), rink hockey (in American English) or quad hockey is a team sport played on roller skates. It is the only quad skate team sport in existence where two teams face-off against one another at the same time. Two teams try to drive a hard ball with their sticks into the opposing teams' goalnet. Each team has five players on the rink at a time, four of whom are skaters and one who is the goalkeeper. The ball can only be put in motion by a stick, not the skate, otherwise a foul will be stated. The game has two 25-minute halves, with 15-minute halftime intermission, plus up to two 5-minute golden goal (a.k.a. "sudden death") periods to settle ties with the clock stopping when the ball becomes dead. If the tie persists, a penalty shootout will determine the winner. Club Patí Vic is a Spanish rink hockey club based in Vic, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. Founded in 1951, the club currently plays in the OK Liga, holding its home games at the Pavelló del Club Patí Vic, with capacity of 3,500 seats. History Founded in 1951, CP Vic is the oldest hockey club in the Catalan comarca of Osona. In the 1970s, the club acquired some terrains for its own development and its main arena was used for the 1992 Summer Olympics. In 1999, CP Vic won its first national title by conquering the Copa del Rey, repeating this achievement in 2009, 2010 and most recently, in 2015. In 2001, the club won its first European title by defeating Noia in the CERS Cup final. Club Patí Voltregà is a Catalan rink hockey club from Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, Osona established in 1955, currently competing in the OK Liga and the OK Liga Femenina.
