Ferndorfbach
Ferndorfbach (vulgarly known as ''the Ferndorf'') is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It flows through Kreuztal and joins the Sieg in Siegen-Weidenau. Its name relates to the village of Ferndorf, the oldest medieval part of Kreuztal town. Kreuztal
Kreuztal is a town in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Location Kreuztal is a town in the low mountains of the northern Siegerland and lies at the western edge of the Rothaargebirge about 10 km north of Siegen. Across the municipal area from the east flows the Ferndorfbach, swinging to the south in the inner town and leaving the municipal area through the constituent community of Buschhütten. In the northern municipal area rises the Littfe, which then runs through the constituent communities of Burgholdinghausen, Littfeld, Krombach, Eichen and Fellinghausen before emptying into the Ferndorfbach in the inner town. Further tributary brooks to the Littfe are the Langebach, the Heimkäuser Bach, the Breitenbach, the Krombach, the Stendenbach and the Bockenbach. Sieg
The Sieg is a river in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Rhine. The river is named after the Sicambri. It is in length. The source is located in the Rothaargebirge mountains. From here the river runs southwestwards to the city of Siegen and the hills of Siegerland, both named after the river. Further west the Sieg valley forms the boundary of the Bergisches Land (northern) and Westerwald (southern). The river finally runs through a protected area east of the city of Bonn. After passing the cities of Hennef and Siegburg, the river flows into the Rhine at the ''Naturschutzgebiet Siegaue'', a protected area immediately to the northeast of the city of Bonn, near Niederkassel/. Ferndorf (Kreuztal)
Ferndorf ( sl, Perja vas) is a municipality in the district of Villach-Land in the Austrian state of Carinthia. Geography The municipal area stretches from the Drava Valley up to the Mirnock range, part of the Nock Mountains, and the southeastern shore of Millstätter See. It comprises the cadastral communities of Ferndorf and Gschriet, made up of numerous scattered settlements and farmsteads. Original an agricultural area, the population today largely depends on the magnesite works in nearby Radenthein and on summer tourism.
