Fernando Mon
Fernando (born 12 December 1976 in Oviedo, Spain) is a member of the Asturian power metal band WarCry. He is working on a new alternative/power metal band called Sauze formed by himself, along with Manuel Ramil, Alberto Ardines, and Toni Amboaje. Career When he was eight years old, he was interested in the keyboard and the flute. Two years later he began studying music theory, rhythm, piano and organ. When he was 13 he began to play the guitar, the instrument he would focus on. He knew Alberto Rionda, through whom he joined the Asturian Power metal band Avalanch which was being formed. He was 17 years old and he was competent on the keyboard. During that time he met Víctor García (from WarCry). He then left the band because he wanted to focus on his guitar-studies, and rejoined later. In 2001 he was fired from Avalanch, along with Alberto Ardines. Oviedo
Oviedo (; ast, Uviéu ) is the capital city of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain and the administrative and commercial centre of the region. Avalanch is a Spanish heavy metal band formed in Asturias in 1993. Led by composer, producer and guitar player Alberto Rionda, the band has released nine studio albums, plus a handful of compilations, DVDs and English versions of their works. ''La Quinta Esencia'' ("The Fifth Element") is the fifth studio album by the power metal band WarCry, released on September 18, 2006, and distributed through Avispa Music. Front man, and lead vocals Víctor García said that this album is a mixture of all the works from their four previous albums. ''La Quinta Esencia'' was the last work to feature drummer Alberto Ardines and guitarist Fernando Mon, who left on August 29, 2007, the reasons remained between the members, as accorded from both sides. They were replaced by Rafael Yugueros, an Asturian heavy metal drummer who had worked for the band on ''Demon 97'', and José Rubio better known as the former guitarist of the band Trilogy. ''Directo A La Luz'' ( en: "Straight To The Light/Live To The Light") is the first live album by the Spanish power metal band WarCry, recorded in Madrid, Spain on November 5, 2005 in the music hall "Divino Aqualung" to a crowd of over 2,500 people. In the concert WarCry played various songs from every album released to that point. It was released on February 27, 2006 (see 2006 in music) in digipak format DVD- CD. The CD format only contained a selection of the band's most successful songs played on the concert. Around those days, WarCry was the only one band to perform a sold-out concert, where even Steve Vai, who participated before couldn't make it. ''El Sello de los Tiempos'' ( en: "The Seal of Times") is the second studio album by the Spanish power metal band WarCry, released on December 1, 2002 (see 2002 in music and 2002 in heavy metal music) through Avispa Music.
