Fernando Martínez (baseball)
Jesús Fernando Martínez Álvarez (born October 10, 1988) is a Dominican former professional baseball outfielder. Martínez signed with the New York Mets in 2005, and made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2009. He also played in MLB for the Houston Astros. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed. He was one of 14 players suspended for taking part in the Biogenesis baseball scandal. He played for Team Spain in the 2019 European Baseball Championship. He then played for the team at the Africa/Europe 2020 Olympic Qualification tournament, in Italy in September 2019. Fernando Daniel Martínez (born 30 May 1993) is a Mexican distance runner who competes over distances from 800 metres to the 10K run. He has won five national titles at the Mexican Athletics Championships, three at 1500 metres and two at 5000 metres. Martínez was the gold medallist over 5000 m at the 2019 Pan American Games and the 1500 m winner at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. He made his debut over the 10 kilometres distance in 2020. Fernando Ramón Martínez Heredia (21 January 1939 – 12 June 2017) was a prominent Cuban revolutionary thinker and politician. Fernando Martínez Perales (born 21 May 1967), commonly known as Nando, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a left back, and a manager. In his career, the majority of which was spent at Valencia and Deportivo, he played in 413 games in 14 senior seasons in the top-two tiers of Spanish football.
