Fengpu Express
The Fengpu Express () is a bus rapid transit line located in Shanghai, China. It operates between Nanqiao Bus Station in Fengxian District and Shendu Highway station in Pudong District, and is operated by Shanghai Xiantong BRT Co. Ltd (). It is the first BRT line to run in Shanghai. History In 2012, the government of Fengxian District announced in their annual report that the district is willing to take up the task of construction of Shanghai's first BRT line. Bidding for construction of different parts of the route started in 2013. On 20 April 2018, the route was partially opened between Nanqiao Bus Station and Shendu Highway station, with a total of 12 stops. On 20 April 2019, on the 1st anniversary of the opening of the line, Jinhui station opened as an infill station along Puxing Highway, between Nanhanggang Road and Lunan Road stations. Fengxian District
Fengxian District, is a suburban district in the south of Shanghai with a land area of , a registered population (as of 2010) of 1,083,400, and 1.5 to 2 times more migrants. It is known for its relative rusticity, as well as its beaches and ocean resorts along the Hangzhou Bay. Lanhai Jinsha () is a common place for Shanghainese to spend their weekend. Pudong District
Pudong is a district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name ''Pudong'' was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. It now refers to the broader Pudong New Area, a state-level new area which extends all the way to the East China Sea. Line 8 (Shanghai Metro)
Line 8 is a north-south line of the Shanghai Metro network. It runs from , in Yangpu District to , in Minhang. The line is colored on system maps. History The subway line's first phase began trial operation on September 17, 2007 and officially opened on December 29, 2007, running between and . The second phase, from Yaohua Road to began operation on July 5, 2009. Two stations opened later than the rest of the line: in September 2012 and opened in April 2011. On May 4, 2017 it was announced the third phase had been renamed the Pujiang line, and will be a new long automated people mover line running from Shendu Highway station to Huizhen Road station.
